Juried Art Exhibition

As part of RiverArtsFest we feature a Juried Fine Art Exhibition. This exhibition is dedicated to displaying  a variety of original handcrafted works of fine art and fine crafts produced by local, regional and nationally recognized artisans in a traditional gallery setting.   Approximately 65 Artists will be been chosen and four artists will be awarded prizes in recognition of their work.  

Artists participation is by invitation only.  Each artist is required to submit a single digital representation of a specific piece of their work in advance.  These applications are reviewed by a nationally recognized member of the artistic community from outside our region who will then select the best of the best to exhibit their work during our event.

Works on display in the Juried Art Exhibition range from the traditional to the contemporary.  They include paintings in watercolor, oil, acrylic, pastel, and mixed media; drawings; photographs; woodcuts, intaglio, and other print techniques; collage; weaving and other fabric works; ceramics; basketry; woodworking; jewelry; glass sculptures; and works in beveled glass. Each work is an original piece of art.  

The event is located in a dedicated structure at the corner of South Main and Webster which is also the location of our opening night gala. 

The hours of operation for the Juried Art Exhibition

                         6pm to 9pm on Friday October 31st
                         10am to 6pm on Saturday, November 1st
                         11am to 5pm on Sunday, November 2nd

Works on display will be available for purchase.  Admission is free.
